About this place
Walk up the stairs to floor 2 of an Akasaka building, and the warm crackle and rich sound of vinyl records immediately fill the room. Listening to music channeled through a vacuum tube amplifier from the counter or a booth seat is part of the appeal at bar all. The welcoming staff foster a comfortable, home-like environment where you can chat about favorite records, put in an easygoing music request, and settle in for a leisurely evening.
The back bar features a generous lineup of hard liquors, including bourbons like Blanton's and Wild Turkey Rare Breed, alongside tequila and rum. The drink list also covers classic cocktails such as gin and tonics and Moscow mules, beers like Sapporo Lager (Akaboshi) and Guinness, as well as shochu and sparkling wine, giving you plenty of ways to match your mood.
To accompany the drinks, the kitchen prepares more than just simple bar bites like mixed nuts and cheese platters; it also offers a proper selection of Chinese dishes. Plates like homemade Cantonese-style chashu pork, salt-sautéed shrimp with seasonal vegetables, shredded beef with green peppers, and pan-fried gyoza are well suited for sharing over a drink. Heartier fare, including crab meat fried rice and gomoku yakisoba, makes it just as easy to satisfy late-night hunger while taking in the music.
